Vision Therapy
At Center for Unlimited Vision, we treat vision problems that typically go undetected, are misdiagnosed, or ignored. We believe the eye care system is broken because saying that 20/20 vision is “perfect” vision is an absolute myth. It fails to identify your visual welfare because it fails to identify issues with eye movement, eye coordination, depth perception, eye muscle strength, focusing ability, peripheral awareness and a host of other necessary skills.
Some of the examples of issues that can be directly caused by visual problems include:
Headaches including migraines caused by eye strain
ADD and ADHD (attention issues)
Reading disabilities
Posture: head-tilt, shoulder slump, curved spine
Muscle tension: facial, shoulder, and neck
Fatigue
Digestive problems
Dizziness
Car or motion sickness
Anxiety
Concentration problems
Phobias
Being overwhelmed by crowds or visual stimulation
All the above issues are amenable to our holistic treatment techniques used at our Center for Unlimited Vision in treating complex vision problems that commonly and unfortunately go undetected.
Services We Provide:
Vision Therapy
An individualized treatment program designed to correct visual-motor and or perceptual-cognitive deficiencies. The treatment help patients acquire visual skills and eye brain connections. The connections are reinforced and made automatic through repetition of various activities along with powerful therapeutic tools such as lenses, prisms, filters, and anaglyphs.
Who can benefit ?
Individuals with poor binocular (2-eyed) coordination or suffer from convergence insufficiency (a common disorder for near tasks)
Computer users
Patients with Amblyopia (lazy eye), Diplopia (double vision), and Strabismus (cross-eyed, wandering eye, eye turns)
Athletes looking to improve their game
Stress related visual problems: blurred vision, visual stress from reading and computers, eye strain, headaches or motion sickness
Visual Rehabilitation for neurological disorders: Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Stroke, Whiplash, Concussions
Children with Developmental Delays, Visual Perception or Visual-Motor Deficits, Attention Deficit Disorders
Syntonic Photo-light Therapy
A form of non-invasive light therapy that can be used as the primary treatment or in support of vision therapy to treat vision problems such as strabismus, amblyopia, learning disabilities, convergence deficit, vision related behavior problems, traumatic brain injuries.
Syntonic light therapy ultilizes different color wavelengths to reach part of the brain that is responsible for hormonal and chemical imbalances. Studies show applying light to the pineal gland and hypothalamus can help restore the body’s nervous system which can help improve one’s vision.
